Spider Vein Treatment in Atlanta (Buckhead) & Valdosta, GA

If you have a visible network of tiny red or purple veins just below your skin, you may have spider veins. Spider veins are typically cosmetic concerns, and treatment is quick and easy. Southern Vein & Laser Center offers spider vein treatment to men and women in Valdosta and Alpharetta, as well as surrounding areas in Georgia.

Spider Vein Treatment

Spider veins are a type of vein disorder in which blood pools inside tiny vessels to form a web-like pattern just under the skin. The veins may appear red or purple in color. Most people do not experience symptoms associated with spider veins, but some people may have a generalized aching, burning or painful sensation in the area around the spider veins. Spider veins can appear anywhere on the body, but are most commonly found on the feet, ankles, legs and face.

Southern Vein & Laser Center offers laser treatments and sclerotherapy for spider veins. Facial veins are treated with Palomar Icon® laser system, Sciton® laser system or the VeinGogh™ electrode system.

Benefits of Spider Vein Treatment

Spider veins are generally harmless, so treatment is primarily performed for aesthetic benefits.

How Spider Vein Treatment Works

The goal of spider vein treatment is to destroy the damaged vein. This can be accomplished using several techniques. Dr. Ambrozic has chosen laser vein treatment and sclerotherapy for his patients.

Laser Vein Treatment

Laser vein treatment works by applying laser energy to the damaged vein. This destroys the vein, and it is gradually absorbed by the body.

Sclerotherapy is a procedure that uses a special solution to collapse damaged veins. The solution is injected into the vein and causes the walls of the vein to stick together.

What to Expect from Spider Vein Treatment

You may see some improvement after your first treatment. Multiple treatments may be needed to fully destroy the damaged veins. Taking breaks to elevate your feet throughout the day may minimize your risk of developing spider veins in the future.

How Much Does Spider Vein Treatment Cost?

Medical insurance does not typically cover the cost of spider vein treatment as it is performed only for cosmetic purposes. During your consultation, we develop a treatment plan that will determine your out-of-pocket expenses. To help you afford the cost of spider vein treatment, we accept several forms of payment, including cash, checks and major credit cards. If you would like financing for your spider vein treatment, we invite you to apply through CareCredit®.
